Automation Laser Micromachining

Advanced Automated Workstation for Laser Micromachining

Key features:

Custom Automation for Femtosecond Laser Micromachining

SojaLab developed a fully customized automated workstation for ultra-precise femtosecond laser micromachining for Hofmeister Innovation.

The system was designed for processing miniature components with dimensions as small as 5 × 4 mm and included complete development from initial concept and mechanical design to electronics, motion control, and embedded firmware.

The workstation was fully integrated into the customer’s femtosecond laser platform, including:

  • Custom automation for femtosecond laser micromachining
  • Ultra-precise positioning for 5 × 4 mm components
  • PLC integration and synchronized machine control
  • Embedded firmware and motion control development
  • Pneumatic workpiece clamping system
  • High-stability automated micromachining
  • Precision handling of miniature components
  • Complete development from concept to functional system

Special focus was placed on positioning accuracy, repeatability, reliability, and seamless integration into the customer’s manufacturing workflow.

The result is a compact and highly specialized laser micromachining solution optimized for handling and processing extremely small parts with high precision and process stability.
